These individuals also join many others as presenters and in our annual Building Learning Communities conference held each July in Boston, Massachusetts.
Jennifer Beine Technology Coordinator, Chester Upland School of the Arts, Chester, PA

Jennifer Beine is the director for our Building Learning Communities conference. She is also the Technology Coordinator for a private/public partnership school. She has instructed teachers and students in Pre-K through seventh grades in various diverse settings. Her focus is on curriculum integration and her student mentorship program. She has her Masters in Instructional Technology with a focus on literacy and reading disabilities.
Seth Bowers Director of Information & Instructional Technology, CCSD 62 Des Plaines, IL

Seth Bowers has been an educator for thirteen years on the South Side of Chicago and in the northern and western suburbs. Over the past decade he has focused on a variety of educational issues: integrating technology into curriculum, writing district K-5 Technology Benchmarks, launching and supporting various district blog and wiki sites, using modern web tools to put students in touch with primary sources, and collaborating for service learning.
Tom Daccord Educational Technology Trainer, Speaker and Author, Chestnut Hill, MA

Tom Daccord is an author, the co-director of The Center for Teaching History with Technology, and webmaster of Teaching English & Language Arts with Technology. His mission is to help humanities teachers incorporate technology effectively into their courses. Tom has presented at many national conferences and was featured in the Boston Globe (“Making Tech Connect,” December 29, 2003) for his contributions to teaching with technology.
Howie DiBlasi Educational Technology Trainer and Speaker, Durango, CO

Dr. Howie DiBlasi is a retired business and education leader who has extensive hands on experience in training administrators and educators using 21st Century technology and applications. During Howie’s 30+ year career in education, he was recognized as Vocational Teacher of the Year for the State of Arizona and nominated as a finalist in the Top Secondary Leaders in America.
Julia Leong Teacher Professional Development Consultant, Technology Integrations, Vancouver, BC

Julia coordinates a two year Graduate diploma (TLITE) to teach in-service teachers how to work in transformative ways with technology. Teachers investigate the ways their practice changes and how learning changes with the integration of technology. She has been serving as an Apple Distinguished Educator and regularly gives talks on emerging technologies, digital photography, narrative inquiry and digital storytelling.

Angela is proud of her 20-year career in education, especially the years she spent as a classroom teacher. Angela is currently working as an independent consultant dedicated and committed to helping DOE’s, schools, districts and teachers reach their goals in literacy and literacy education.
Lainie Rowell Independent Consultant and Trainer, Huntington Beach, CA

Lainie Rowell is an independent consultant and trainer. In addition to November Learning, Lainie works with Apple and CUEtoYOU. Lainie works closely with K-12 teachers, principals and district administrators providing professional development on best practices and ways to integrate technology to improve teaching and learning.
Carolyn Staudt Curriculum Designer, The Concord Consortium, Concord, MA

Carolyn Staudt is a curriculum designer for several technology and Internet-based projects specializing in the educational uses of probes and handheld computers. She has 20 years experience teaching science and math, including physics, chemistry, geoscience, and space science. She holds a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in science from Kent State University and was a Christa McAuliffe Fellow in 1990.
