IPP Testimonial

You would not believe how far we have come in two years! November Learning was the impetus that got us where we are. Through a combination of our learning audit performed by your company, the individualized meetings with our central office staff, motivating all our faculty and staff on Institute Day, and the individual, small group professional development sessions your team conducted on professional development day, we have seen a true turnaround in our district in the authentic use of technology. In the past technology was a “thing” used by our teachers. It is now becoming ubiquitous; we are using technology to change our instruction, doing things that are not possible without technology. I am so glad your company was recommended to us. Our partnership had truly revolutionized the instruction in Madison City Schools.

Process and Timeline
The process begins with a clear understanding of your goals, your current investment in technology and any future plans for technology. We will start by conducting an initial conference call with key district/school personnel. This call will include planning, development of review criteria and arrangements for an on-site visit.

During the onsite visit, members of the November Learning team will:

  • Meet with administrative team
  • Meet with various groups of teachers, students and parents
  • Observe a cross section of classrooms in major subject areas (Elementary and Secondary)
  • Assess technology infrastructure
  • Meet with any key committees

We take a partnership approach. Preparation for these site visits are organized and coordinated well in advance. Prior to the site visit, review criteria would be shared. We will work with you in generating materials and criteria that is tailored to your specific needs while balanced with the guidance and experience of November Learning.

After the onsite review, our team will customize a set of surveys to be given to a larger cross section of leaders, teachers and students within your community. The responses to these surveys will provide us with a broader range of data for the report.

The Report
November Learning will collate the materials and present a draft based upon our observations, data and interviews. The draft will include a review of the essential areas, as well as a set of recommendations.

The initial draft of recommendations will outline the “ideal” scenario for your district/school. In a series of follow-up conversations with key leaders, the draft will be adjusted to fit within the district’s/school’s capabilities.

IPP Essential Areas
The following essential areas will be the basis for the review. Each area comes with its own set of criteria, levels of measurement and set of recommendations:

  • Leadership
  • Curriculum
  • Teaching and Learning
  • Assessment
  • Professional Development
  • Community
  • Infrastructure
