Main Session Workshops
Have you heard of Twitter? Are you wondering what all the fuss is about? Have you tried it and still do not get it? In this session we will focus on the ways Twitter can be harnessed to build a rich and powerful learning community. We will discuss tips and tricks to leverage the potential of this network. Resources will be provided to help attendees set up their own networks during and/or after the session. Finally, we will capitalize on the face- to-face connections within the workshop to further enrich our online learning communities.
Clay Shirky says, “It’s not information overload – it’s filter failure.” Do you often feel like we are drowning in a sea of information? Do you have more networks than you know what to do with? Have you figured out a way to filter in the relevant information and filter out the noise? Let us use our collective intelligence to make the most of our information management strategies. In this session, we will work to identify and refine the problem itself, and then we will consider a number of solutions you can use to harness the power of your network’s intelligence and expertise.
